“Free Nitro”, “free ranks”, “gift-card generators” and “free premium account” sites all run on the same idea: dangle something free so you lower your guard. Understanding the pattern makes them easy to ignore.

How these traps pay off for the scammer

• Credential harvesting. The “log in to claim” page is a fake designed to capture your username and password.
• Human verification loops. Endless “complete this survey/install this app” steps pay the scammer per click and never deliver anything.
• Malware delivery. The “generator.exe” you download is the actual product – an info-stealer.

The reality check

• If it were possible to generate real gift cards or premium accounts, the company would simply stop selling them. It is not real.
• A giveaway that needs your password is not a giveaway.
• Official promotions happen on official channels, never through a random DM or a site you have never heard of.
